The Historical Bit

First Drinks started life as Teltscher Brothers, a drinks distributor dealing with a variety of wine and spirit brands. Teltscher Brothers was bought by Bacardi Martini in 1991, they began the process of investing in the business and in order to speed up its growth sold 50% to William Grant & Sons in 1995.

 

In 1996 we changed our name from Teltscher Brothers to First Drinks Brands to reflect the more dynamic and determined nature of the business, a business with its sights set on being first for drinks.

 

Most recently, in October 2006 William Grant & Sons purchased Bacardi's stake in the business thereby giving William Grant & Sons 100% ownership of First Drinks Brands.

With our portfolio as it currently stands we have more liqueurs in our portfolio than any other distributor and we are the leading supplier of malt whisky.
